Painting & color choices; If you have a preference of a color for your Shiftster knob, please indicate it in the 'Special Instructions' box, and we will do our best to accomodate you. As an aside some of our earlier customers have mentioned that when their mounting plates were painted, they noticed a bit of wear on them between the three holes where the locating pin travels to when the knob is rotated to change positions. This obviously does not happen if the pin is fully pulled back before turning the knob, but regardless it may look a bit funky after a while. So because of that we are now no longer painting the mounting plates (just the knobs), and they will come to you in natural brushed aluminum finish. But we still think they look great---especially the red & the gold ones.

December 24th, 2010;

We have been trying to add a 'Phone Number Contact' thingy on our Pay Pal shipping form, but to no avail. So in lieu of that we are asking all of our customers (if y'all don't mind) to include a good contact number that we can reach you at in case of any difficulties on our end, or as a quick way to correspond with you should we have any questions. Thanx in advance.

April 3rd, 2011;

It's been just over a year now since the Shiftster first debuted, and we can proudly say that our product is still constructed from 85% American made parts, and is 100% hand assembled right here in the good ole U.S. of A. And we will continue to do so, as we see absolutely no reason to build them anywhere else, no matter what. We take much pride in that fact, especially given the current state of affairs our econmy.

June 15th, 2011;

We are proud to announce that we have sold a second Shiftster to one of our friends from Down Under. And it was installed on none other than a Mercedes ML 320. Who'd have thunked? Thank you Ian, we have posted a pic of your rig in our gallery. It's a great shot of your truck on the beach.

August 2nd, 2011;

We are desperately looking for our first Australian customer who bought a Shiftster from us last year. Somehow we have misplaced his name & ordering information (as he mailed us a check instead of using Pay Pal). We would love to get some more info on his truck and also some photos for our gallery. If anyone knows who we are referring to we'd greatly appreciate it if you would have him contact us at shiftster1@gmail.com Thanx in advance.

September 12th, 2011;

We have just sold Shiftster #125 to our newest customer in......India of all places! Thank you to Charan, and thank you for the great photos of your Aramda Grand (built by Mahindra of India). You can see Charan's very cool & interesting looking truck in our photo gallery. Kind of a cross between a WWII Jeep and a Mercedes G-Class?

September 29th, 2011;

Yes Folks, we understand that our Youtube video is not only boring, but VERY boring. So we are planning on filming a second one real soon----this time out doors, in the dirt and in action. So please keep an eye out for it, and we'll post the link right here when it's done. Thank you.

October 14th, 2011;

Well, we hated to do this (and trust us, we have held off as for long as possible)  but we have finally found it necessary to raise our Shiftster prices a bit. This is not due to our cost of labor (since we are still a Mom & Pop company) but because of the price of the materials that we purchase and use. So for you new customers here you will find that we have raised the price of the Shiftster to $59.00. And our shipping costs have gone up one dollar as well, to $5.95. Which btw, is still almost a buck less than what the USPO actually charges us, since all Shiftsters sent to the U.S. go via Priority Mail & with a Delivery Confirmation number. Sorry about this Folks but it had to be done. We hope you understand.

October 24th & 27th, 2011;

We at that Shiftster are proud to announce that we have hit yet one more continent with our product...Europe! Special thanks need to go out to Nikolay in Bularia (who owns something called a 'Tata), and to Alex in Russia (who somehow has a 1994 Ford Explorer). Thank you gentlemen, and please post some photos when you can.....would love to see both your trucks in action!

November 5th,2011;

Well, for those of you who have been patiently waiting for your Shiftsters, we just want to let you all know that our CNC guy finally finished up our latest batch of mounting plates this afternoon...that we've been waiting for for 3 weeks now. Without going into too much detail, we'll just say that the delay was due to some really bad timing. The day we dropped the aluminum off at Justin's shop last month he had just finished up with a third surgery on his leg, which he had smashed up rather well after stuffing his Harley under a flat bed trailer. At 45 mph. Very ungood, but at least he's walking around and able to run his shop. Unfortunately for us (and for some of you folks) he had also just won a contract from the Air Force to make some very intricate, very time consuming and VERY expensive swiveling fuel fillers for  our own F-16's. Now why he didn't think the Shiftster was more important than some wimpy little $165k swiveling fuel fillers for our fighter jets is beyond us.....but that's how it played out. Regardless, we will be in the shop all day tomorrow assembling the 2 dozen or so Shiftsters that you folks have been waiting on, and they will all be shipped out Monday morning. And once again we thank you for your orders and truly appreciate your patience.

November 6th, 2011;

Oh yeah, one more thing----we've been trying to edit our Pay Pal order form to add a couple of extra things to it....like a 'Quanity' number more than '1', and also a spot for our customers to enter a good contact phone number (in case we nneed to get a hold of you quickly for some reason). Unfortunately we can't seem to get P/Pal to cooperate, so we are asking all of our future customers to please include a good phone number in the 'Special Instructions' box on the right hand side of the P/Pal page.

Thanx in advance.

November 12th, 2011

Well out of the two dozen Shiftsters that we sent out on the 7th, only one of tham came back as undeliverable. Which given the diverse geographic locations of our customers (and the current state of the Post Office) is not too bad. But it does serve as a reminder that it's VERY important to give us your correct address when you place your order. Not only to ensure that they get there to your place asap, but also so we have don't have to pay for postage twice. Oh yeah, and don't forget to include a contact phone number....

November 15th, 2011

Shiftster #157 will be going out tomorrow to our latest customer, Paul in New Jersey. He has a Mazda pick-up truck....and we have a strange feeling he lives in an area where they not only put salt on the margarita glasses...but on the roads as well. If anyone on this planet was ever in more need of a Shiftster, we'd like to know.
